I have just upgraded from 7.4.1 to 7.4.2-29270 (via 7.4.2-29251) and I have had for the last week a warning message on my SSOTS server log file stating that it cannot find & download the below 7.4.2 jive for my duet

[09-11-18 09:04:43.0962] Slim::Utils::Firmware::downloadAsyncError (557) Warning: Firmware: Failed to download http://update.mysqueezebox.com/update/firmware/7.4.2/jive.version (404[/url] Not Found), will try again in 10 minutes.
which it repeats at increasing intervals every day.
Do I need this jive version?
Thanks
Simon

Unfortunately, there is no 7.4.2 jive version. You can continue to use 7.4.1 jive, or if this message really bothers you, go to 7.5.0 beta (although then you'll see daily Controller updates).

I do not understand why they simply do not create a 7.4.2 directory and put the 7.4.1 jive software in it to stop these damn error messages. The same was done with 7.3.4. Why not with 7.4.2?

Ah, i know: They have to push the touch into the market... Money money money...

Ah, i know: They have to push the touch into the market... Money money money...Yeah, can you believe it? Some people actually work for evil companies that have to turn a profit or close. What is the world coming to?

It's a question of balance: Between Satisfying current customers and making new money with new products (and maybe new customers). Often current customers are buying new products. But this fact is often forgotten by those companies! Best example is logitech with it's Radio and Touch.

There is a big difference between greed for money and making profit. But in terms of logitech I'm geeting more and more the feeling that they are only driven by greed for money. At times of slimdevices i never had that feeling!
