Alarm not working, when Ethernet-cable disconnected

Can anyone confirm, that an alarm on the Radio is not working, when the Ethernet is being disconnected?

I only see a "disconnected"-alert-box but I don´t hear any emergency-tone...

My alarm works without an ethernet cable. What type of connection do you use for your streaming, wired or wireless?

The box is connected via copper-cable to the Internet.

As far as I understood, the box should check the status to the SqueezeCenter or SqueezeNetwork. If the status is down an "emergency-tone" should be created instead of the configured alarm-stream....
