Hello,

I've bought more CDs in the relatively short time I've owned my Squeezebox
than in the many years preceding its purchase. It was always such a hassle,
before, to juggle CDs into and out of my 100-CD changer. I'd just fallen
out of the habit of listening to music.

Not any more. With a Squeezebox (and EAC), the more music I have, the
better!

I now routinely scour the used CD stores. I'm a weekly CD buyer from Amazon
Marketplace vendors. I've gone so far as to dig my 30-year old cassette
collection out of boxes in the basement to get ideas for replacements
(though not as many as I'd thought -- I had very sad taste in music 30 years
ago).

I hope the RIAA is sending a percentage of CD sales to SlimDevices, though I
suspect they aren't. Too bad!

Robert

I've found the same thing. I've probably bought more CD's in
the six months I've had my squeezebox, than in the preceding
5 years.

RIAA keep blaming poor sales on pirating, but in practice I'm
sure that if they embraced the MP3 community they'd end up
selling more, even despite some pirating.

A cynic might say that after decades of robbing the public blind, they
don't understand why the public wouldn't return the favor at every
opportunity :-)
