Sean,
um...in answer to your question:
I've just tested what happens if I wire my sq box directly to the Linksys
WAG54g (ie eliminate the wireless link) - it works flawlessly going FLAC to
WAV. No buffer underruns or dropouts - everything just fine.
So it must be the wireless link between the WAG54g and the WET54g. The
problem is definitely not signal strength - I've got plenty of that.
Maybe some config parameters on the Linksys boxes? - There doesn't seem to
be that much to "play with" - what should the TCP window be set to? - and does
it matter?
Sorry if this is incoherent - I've just got back home having walked across
London becasue the underground trains were on strike! (and my feet are SORE!)
Many thanks for your help
Phil

Yeah. Tube strikes are just plain not funny. One meeting today... hour-long meeting. 5 hours travelling :(

I'm gald (wrong word but...) that others have the same drop out problem
as me. The difference in my case is that mine is not wireless, it's
wired! There is 1 switch between the server and one of the squeezeboxes
and 2 to the other.
