Hi! I've monitoring a lan and I've detected machine that's using
SLiMP3 protocol (i've found it using ethereal). I've searched for the
program into the machine but I haven't found anything. I don't know
what to do and I need to remove this protocol. The os is Windows2000

Thanks in advance

If you suspect that the SliMP3 protocol traffic is coming from a running
version of SlimServer, you should be able to find the service in the
Services control panel. You can bring this up either by navigating to
Control Panels > Administrative Tools > Services or typing
"services.msc" at a command prompt. The SlimServer service should appear
in the list.

To uninstall the service, you can either use the uninstaller or manually
remove the service. The uninstaller should be available either throught
the SlimServer Program Group or through the Add/Remove Programs control
panel. Alternatively, to manually remove the service, find the location
of the service on your filesystem (double clicking on the service in the
Services control panel should tell you where the executable is). Run the
executable from the command line with the -remove command line option.

These techniques should work with a post 5.0 version of SlimServer.
Earlier versions install themselves as SliMP3 Server.
