Hi all
I've been looking at a squeezebox duet setup as a multiroom solution.
I'm down to either the squeezebox or another well known wireless system (not sure if were meant to mention names on here)
My question is to do with the wireless network side of things. I'm planning on doing a wired setup to each room from a central network hub. Do the duet boxes allow the wireless network to be used for normal data ie act as a repeater for laptops etc, or are they only usable by other squeezeboxes?

Thanks in advance
Rob

A Receiver (or any of the other players) cannot act as an access point.

They can work the oposite way round though. See the wiki for a better explanation that I could write :)

SB devices including the Duet (Controller/Receiver) are just one more IP device on the wireless network.

Other traffic and uses are only affected if there are bandwidth issues.
