View Full Version : WEP and Cisco AP340 issue with Squeezebox

Brand new Squeezebox user here.

I get repeated WEP authentication errors during network
setup unless I wait ~60 seconds after it reports a network
error (or wireless network not found) to press the right
arrow to retry. On 5.1.5 during powerup I get repeated
restarts until I go into network setup. Upgrading to
Nightly 6-21 server software and firmware eliminates the
restarts; it instead fails with a wireless network found.
Again, waiting until the SB authenticates on its own before
pressing right arrow to try succeeds. The log on the
AP340 indicates either 60 or 61 seconds between the
last authenticate failure and successful authentication.

Identical symptoms on old AP340 10.x software as with
latest 12.04.

A clip from the AP340 log (latest first):

===End of AP340-2998de Event Log===

The entries at the top (11PM-12AM) are with the latest firmware.
The entries at the bottom (7PM) are with 5.1.5 firmware.
The only device on wireless is the SB.

I did a brief search on Bugzilla and didn't notice a relevant
WEP issue. But being new here I didn't know if this type of
thing has been mentioned before.
