WMA VBR Files "converted" to lower bit rate

I'm using V7.3.3 and just noticed that my lossless WMA files are being "converted" to 700kbps from the original VBR. I'm not using any plug-ins (as far as I'm aware).

What's the point of having lossless files if this is going on?

Is it a "feature" of 7.3.3?

How do I stop it happening?

I'm using a wired connection.

WMA lossless isn't supported directly by the player, so it's transcoded to FLAC, which is also lossless. Nothing to worry about.
