Choosing ShoutCast on Squeezebox causes connection loss

Dean,

No, the Squeezebox does not reconnect. I have to reset it (turn it off) in
order to get it working again. There may be other ways to get it to
reconnect but I don't know how. Is there anything on the SlimServer that
needs to be setup in order to get Shoutcast to work?

Hi Steve,

You shouldn't have to reset it and you shouldn't have to do anything
special to get Shoutcast to work, except have a working internet
connection. I can't reproduce this problem here...
Is the server still running after this failure? If so, can you visit:
http://localhost:9000/log.txt and see if there are any useful errors
logged?

Is it possible that you had not yet defined a "Saved Playlists" folder
during your earlier unsuccessful attempts? That might have been the
problem, though I thought that there was a default location defined
under Windows.
