Would anyone else find an embedded podcatcher in Squeezecenter useful? Are there any out there? Surprised this hasn't been done by someone so far...

I am a huge podcast fan but don't know that this would be a useful feature. For listening to podcasts on the Squeezebox, the included podcasts plugin does a great job (except for not being able to reorder them, see bug 7438 (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7438)). If you want to actually download them as opposed to stream them, you're probably doing that to listen to them on your portable device and will be best served by the media manager that came with your portable, or Songbird (http://www.getsongbird.com/). Or if you're already running a linux server, Bashpodder (http://lincgeek.org/bashpodder/).

I'd certainly really like one. The current design is all right, but it lacks a lot of polish. As far as I've seen, there's no keeping track of what episodes you've listened to, and no keeping track of where you are within an episode. I'd like to hit my XYZ podcast and have it start playing from where I left off. I'm also not a fan of the streaming, as my DSL line is marginal and would prefer to have things download while I'm not home.
