I am running the latest versions of Rhapsody, SlimServer, and firmware
for the Squeezebox. I am running Windows XP Professional. XP was
"tweaked" by the company that sold me the computer (and a little more by
my brother-in-law) so some defaults may have been changed. I have
Rhapsody set to automatically sign in. I tried the latest version of
RealSlim and it shows up on the Squeezebox under plugins but when I
tried to use it "Connecting to Rhapsody player" displays and then goes
away. I have gone into Rhapsody and nothing shows in the compatible
devices. I download the RealSlim with the debugger and it returned the
message "couldn't connect to local socket :10061". I am running a
wireless network. My wife loves Rhapsody and she thinks that the
Squeezebox is cool. If I can get them working together I'll have a
better chance at getting another Squeezebox for our extra room in the
backyard. I am new at all of this so any help would be greatly
appreciated!

With the debug version of the RealSlim installed, try running slim.exe
(in the server directory of your SlimServer installation) from the
command line. RealSlim should print out some diagnostic messages that
might be helpful in diagnosing the problem.

Let's take this discussion off-list. I'll post to the Sourceforge
newsgroup for RealSlim when we figure out the problem (apologies for not
responding to your post there).
