I developed an IR Keyboard for use with the Philips pronto (can't
seem to figure out how to get my file to Slimdevices' server, but
it's at remotecentral.com). The keyboard cycles actuation of the
number codes to create each letter, but it seems to work flawlessly.
Too bad the Pronto doesn't have an even bigger screen (though it
would be too big to use easily), which made me implement a two-tap
process, but I find it a lot faster since I can use QWERTY.

If there are ways to add those codes to slimserver (if I get the
codes i can make a file to access them through slimserver it would
seem) then I could replace the cycling with codes for specific keys.

I can't find any later reference to this subject in the forums.

I think my need is the same - I want a single [Pronto] IR code for "A", another for "B", andother for "C" and so on, thereby avoiding the need for repeated presses of a numeric key.

Has anyone cracked this?

Thanks, Nick

I was tired when I made the last post.......

I already have the single keys on the Pronto - but the are sending multiple keypresses to the SB, in the same was that the SB's own remote would.

I guess what I am looking for is a new IR file for Slimserver which can support separate codes for each letter.

Has anyone cracked this?

Thanks, Nick
