View Full Version : Fishbone refresh issue

I second this but for the library. Seems whenever I add a song to the
playlist, then 'back' out of the library, I end up back on the first
page of the library, back at 'a'.

Also, if I select a song, then back up, the song gets added again.

Oh, wait, I know what I'm doing. Since if I hit 'back' after picking a
song, it adds it again, I've taken to clicking on the "/Browse Artists"
(or albums, whatever I'm using) link which always takes me back to the
first page.

So, is there a fix to not have the song added again each time 'back' is
pressed?

Thanks. (I'm using 5/26 nightly).

When using the Fishbone browser with a sizable playlist, the
scroll position of the list is reset to the top each time the
page is refreshed. This is less than ideal in most instances,
but particularly when the list is shuffled and you'd like to
see what's coming next.

I know the refresh rate can be set to a very high value, but
since a refresh is done each time a new song starts, it only
gets you part of the way there.

I don't have a recommendation for how to get around this, but
I'd be interested to hear others' suggestions (if anyone else
cares).

I second your second. The one feature of the Olson skin that I really
like is that when you select an artist from 'Browse Artisis', the result
comes up in its own frame so I don't lose my spot in the artist list.
However, the feature pile for Fishbone is so much taller... :)

Can some one point me to a resource for the format of a cue file?

Can you add a Genre tag in to a cue file, are there other 'options'?

search of the web nets very little useful info....Bad search engine, bad
engine!

Yes, there are a few non-standard keywords supported by the slim server.

YEAR "2002"
GENRE "Classical"
COMMENT "Blah"

They can be used at the top of the cue file to refer to the entire
disc or they can be used within the track portion to refer to a single
track.

Also, there is a keyword

REM END 36:21:55

To signify the end of an album, when a disc contains more than 1 logical
album.

I think that's all.
