I can't get Slimserver to work at the moment (see thread "Slimserver will no longer start (Mac)") so need to do a complete uninstall and reinstall.

What's the procedure for this on a mac?

Sorry I didn't get back to you on your other post. Here's what I do. Right click the Squeezecenter icon in the System Preferences and select Remove. Then open the MacHD and put Squeezecenter in the Search box in the upper right corner and hit Enter then delete any folders or files you find. Next shut down your computer. Next put in the Mac OS disk that came with your computer and re-start it and go to Applications then Utilities then Disk Utility. Select the MacHD and run the Verify and then fix Permissions. If the Repair button is highlighted run that next. Next download and install the most current version of SC 7.3.3 from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/ under the Nightly link. Hope this fixes things.

I'm still a relative Mac noob. I didn't have much luck searching the HD for Slim and SC files - is there any 'reveal hidden files' type setting somewhere?

http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Clean_Install_-_Mac_OS_10.5.x

is very helpful.

I don't believe you need to worry about "hidden files" with this software, if you follow the directions. (`Nix and Mac OS X typically "hide" files that begin with a "dot" as in .somehiddenfile but they can be seen and deleted from the Terminal)
