I know that Squeezecenter recognizes replaygain but I have my music library encoded in mp3 and flac format. I've used MP3Gain on the mp3 files and it works fine but is there a way to apply replay gain to Flac files? I'm talking many thousands of files so something like MP3Gain for FLAC files would be the best option but I'll take any suggestions at this point. Thanks.

I use DBPoweramp for this. Foobar is good too...

I'm not sure how you used mp3gain to do your mp3's but with the programs mentioned it will add tags to your files and not alter the actual files like mp3gain can. So on a player you have to activate the replay gain. It's the better way of doing it.

I've been using metaflac.

has a nice little script for doing this recursively over your full collection (back up first obviously)
