looks promising. according to the help file, there are even methods for
write access to rating and play count. this should allow for integration of
these into slimserver, a feature which has been asked for quite a few times.

I'd love a iTunes rating feature, where pressing 0-5 during playback
sets the iTunes rating. That way I might stand a chance of getting more
than the current tiny fraction of my songs rated!

OS X iTunes has been able to set ratings through AppleScript for ages -
now Windows offers a COM API too there's a chance of a cross-platform
solution.

Do we have a mapping from SlimServer songs back to iTunes database IDs?

Phil

PS Linux users won't have iTunes at all without a Windows or OS X
server. And I'm sure somewhere there's a remote COM interface from
Linux to Windows, maybe even from inside Perl... or was I dreaming?
