Hi

I haven't touched either file, both are the default ones installed. Wiping the cache made no difference.

What I did was to uninstall the previous version and remove any files left behind ( the cache directory )

Then installed from scratch the latest nightly (17th)

FLAC and WAV play fine.

But ALC doesn't. But it plays fine in iTunes

This is very strange. Did you modify your types.conf file or
convert.conf file?

What happened when you tried to "Wipe Cache"?
