What are the bandwidth costs of streaming?

Some basic arithmetic:

A 128 Kb/s stream results in a download of

128 * 60 * 60 = 460 800 Kbit/hour ie 460.8 Megabit/hour

8 bits to a byte

(128 * 60 * 60) / 8 = 57 600 Kilobyte/hour or 57.6 Megabyte/hour

Is that right?

I was required to do an "Image Verification" before posting. Will that now be required for every post, or for every new thread?

That could be quite tedious.

Try removing the URL from your signature, I think captcha is only required for posts with URLs (to reduce spam).

Your bandwidth calc is correct.

Yes, that's about right. There is a bit of protocol overhead for TCP, no more than a few percent.
