Hi there,

I am having some issues with Custom Scan and Exporting statistics to iTunes. I have loaded Perl on my PC with iTunes on and run the iTunesUpdate.pl but I am having issues with false matches.

My setup is my Music library is on my Windows Home Server as is Slimserver. iTunes is on my desktop PC. the path to My Music on my desktop is Z:/ and on the WHS it's D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music. In the iTunes Export Statistics settings I have the following settings.

Output directory: D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music
Music Path in iTunes: Z:\
Music Path in Slimserver: D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music

when I run iTunesUpdate.pl iTunes_Host.txt I get the following sort of error on all files.

Searching iTunes for "The Kooks Ooh La"
Found 1 track(s) in iTunes
Checking for: D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music\The Kooks\Inside In_Inside Out\05 Ooh La.mp3
False match: Z:\The Kooks\Inside In_Inside Out\05 Ooh La.mp3
Track not found in iTunes

Can anyone suggest what I need to change?

Does is the paths in the iTunes_Host.txt file set to Z:\ for new entries or is it set to the D:\ path also for new entries ?

The configuration looks correct as far as I can see.

Have you set the "Music Folder" parameter in "SqueezeCenter Settings" or do you use the iTunes or MusicIP integration to scan music into SqueezeCenter ?

Hi there,

I have:

Basic Settings: Music Folder: = D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music
iTunes: iTunes Music Folder: = D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music

I thought this is right because they reside on the my home server, hence use the home server address. iTunes.exe resides on my desktop and my music folder is mapped to the network drive Z:.

If I look in iTunes_Hist.txt then it says:

Ooh La|The Kooks|Inside In/Inside Out|D:\shares\Music\NEWDESKTOP\D\My Music\The Kooks\Inside In_Inside Out\05 Ooh La.mp3|played|20090304180027|

Do you think I need to change my settings?

Aha, I just got it to work. I think the issue was that although I changed the settings in SqueezeCenter I never kicked off the scan so the TrackStat_iTunes_Hist.txt was out of date. I am just trying to confirm this but I think it's sorted.

Thanks for your help

[Edit] yep, just confirmed it, it was exactly that. iTunes Folder = Z: fixed it after I had invoked the scan
