I wrote a guide for setting up VPN between your Squeezecenter and "the world": http://lars.werner.no/?p=132

Since the Duet is limited in Music sources to only IP a VPN connection could be a way to ease around its limits.

Many friends with older versions has been using this technique for quite a while and it works like a rock.

Funny too, since I got full control over all my friends Squeezies ;)

A good guide for Windows users. And it will actually make connecting to a remote SC much safer.

Thanks for your efforts and for sharing this.

Just tried this in Windows 7 but the option to set up a VPN connection now requires one to list the external ip address or server that one is connecting to.

I use Hamachi. It has not seen much development in the past few years but it does work well.

Check out the FAQs and guides here: https://forums.hamachi.cc/
