I tried it, but didn't like the may it mucked about with my library structure, even when I told it not to.

Maybe I'll give it another shot....

I don't use iTunes but I guess I really need to take a
look at it since everyone seems to think so highly of it.

yeah, be careful of that. If you do disable to re-organisation, it shoudl
behave. I made the mistake of leaving it on once, but since then its been fine
leaving the files as I want them.

It a good addition, as is moodlogic to the slimserver framework. You get many
other features that slimserver isn't able to handle. If it is one time things
like, "my collection on shuffle" and "my kidsafe stuff on shuffle" then this
works really well and integrates right into slimserver after that.
