Hi guys,

I have a machine running slim server, that does other things as well for
home automation and CCTV, that is a P4 2Ghz job with 1/2 a gig of RAM in it
on a decent Gigabyte board.

When I run Slimserver 5 whatever, it lock up after a few hours performing
all manners of weirdness, apps slow down to a crawl and the machine just
grinds slowly to a halt. But if I use 4.XX then it work fine!

What's the difference and any idea why I'm getting this?

I'm now reduced to running 4XX on a 533 W2K Server based machine with only
128Mb RAM in it and it handles nearly 100,000 tracks.

K.

'm not sure which specific version you are using, but there have been
several performance improvements made in the latest pre-release builds:

Try installing those and keep the Task Manager open and let us know
what happens.
