Hi Folks

had a SliMP3 before i bought 2 Squeezeboxes (WLAN). I upgraded to
V.5.1.5. Since then the Display shuts off when the Squeezebox is
untouched for a couple of hours. This never happened with the SliMP3
- Box. Is this by Design and is there a way to disable this behaviour?

Best Regards

Michael

That shouldn't happen. When you press a button on the remote after
it's been dark, what do you see on the display?

Of course, there is the possibility, which Michael had not mentioned,
of the computer going to sleep. That (at least in my experience,
5.1.5 on Mac OS 10.3.3) will shut off the display.

I quite often find that when I wake up the computer, especially after
it has been asleep overnight, that the Squeezebox does not connect to
the Server again. usually going through the setup connects ok. Last
time I got that message, it went dark after a while and nothing I
could do would get the Squeezebox going again, until I unplugged it
from the power and plugged it in again, when it made contact with no
trouble.

It resumes operation without a problem... e.g. Time and Date or starts
playing if i press the play button..

The Computer is a linux box with absolutely no Power Mgmt ;)

The Squeezebox wakes up instantly without reconnecting or going thru the
"setup" screens...

Don't know what that could be, will look at it a bit more intensive..
