Hi Folks,

I've updated today's "nightly" build with fixes for a few bad things
that crept in over the weekend.

- Fixed a problem where the server would stop soon after finishing the
scan.
- Fixed a problem where Windows users might not be able to specify
remote volumes for their music library.
- Fixed the issue where we were uninstalling previous versions of the
SlimServer software instead of upgrading on Windows.
- Fixed a problem where the Windows SlimServer user interface
application might complain about not being able to find the server
process when quitting.

Feel free to download and install the this updated version and let us
know how it works for you.

Thanks,

dean

Nor me, still no access to my remote shares. The install is almost back to
normal on the 3/5/04 nightly however it no longer preserves the logon account
status for the service.

Can you tell me the path you enter to access your shares? It wasn't
working for me before I made the fix, and now it is... I'd need some
details to reproduce...

Ah, that's going to be an issue. The SlimServer service and the
interactive version are now a single binary called slim.exe. The
installer now removes the old service and installs the new one. Any
attribute changes are going to be lost. Sorry about that.

\\Audio\Audio Data\mp3
\\Audio\Audio Data\playlists

Hi Rob,

Are you using Windows XP SP2 by any chance?

I've found a case where, depending on how I start SlimServer, it may or
may not have access to network shares. I'm still looking into it, but
more information about your setup would be welcome.
