Hi All,

I've been loving my SB Duet setup that I picked up this past weekend, it really is an awesome system.

However, while I am really careful with my equipment, remotes do occassionally get dropped and hit the floor.

The SB remote is really, really nice with its gloss black finish and that nice, bright screen. I would hate to damage it.

To help mitigate damage, I was wondering if a rubber 'skin' existed, similar to whats out there for iPods and other phones, that would 'stretch' over the device (with the proper cutouts) which would protect the remote a little bit in the event of a fall.

Any suggestions? I don't even know if such a device would work with the charger, but I wanted to throw the idea out there.

Cheers,

Chris

There is nothing official at the moment.

We have been waiting long enough (knocking on a year) for Logitech to get spare charging cradles and batteries into the system yet alone any other accessories. So I wouldn't hold your breath on them becoming available.

Cool, thanks for the info. You are right, extra chargers and batteries would be nice!

I take it if we wanted a 3rd party to develop this (or anything else) they would have to license the rights from Logitech?

It depends on where they are selling it I suppose. For example, all the skins you see on eBay of iPod and iPhones etc. I would say pretty much none of them are licences, but the ones you buy in retail outlets probably are. And that's part of the reason the retail items are so much more expensive.
