Hi

I am currently using slimserver 5.1.5 and 2.1 firmware. I am running on Windows 2000 using WAV files compressed using FLAC.

Can somebody confirm that the files are being converted back to WAV prior to sending to the wireless squeezebox with no other conversion ( ie mp3 ) taking place ?.

I am using an external DAC and keen to get the best quality output.

I have been following this list and have seen contradictory statements on this.

If somebody can help me I would be grateful.

regards

Currently, the default for wireless setup is mp3 output. To disable this,
uncheck all mp3 output settings in the server settings, additional server
setting, file types. You will find the additional server settings link at the
bottom of the server settings in the Default Skin. If your entire collection is
FLAC, then you relaly only need to turn off the flc mp3 conversion option.
