Despite being on this list for over a year, tonight I decided to install
SlimServer in preparation for getting a squeezebox in the next few months.

I've started to rip my CD's to single file .flac + .cue. What is the status
of gapless .flac playback?

Yes. You'll need a strong signal though. Consider using the lossless
FLAC format to store your CDs instead of WAV, though.

flac is inherently (capable of) gapless. :)

flac files play back gapless on slimserver just fine. (both separate
flac files, and cd-ripped-as-one.flac with .cue file.)

If you want to play back all-in-one.flac with .cue gaplessly, you'll
need a very recent build of flac. (like more recent that the 1.1
release. Probably need to build it from cvs unless you can find a
binary from someone who has.)

I hope that helps.

on some machines "any" was mislabled as "power"
we apologise for any inconvience this may have caused.
