Hi

i use a Slimp3 (will be replaced with a Squeezebox Wireless this
Week) for my Bedroom. Problem is that during the day and evening i
really like the Date / Time Display. But since the Display is way too
bright even in the lowest Setting i dim it down to off. Could this be
done automagically by the Slimserver? I really would like to do this
by myself but i don't have any clue about perl...

Second one is that i would like to display the weather.com
Temparature for my city on the Date / Time Display (when Slimp3 /
Squeezebox is "off"). Any ideas?

Best Regards

Mike

This could be done as a plugin/screensaver. Similar to how the alarm code
works, you could hard code a time, or allow your own settings. Then when the
'alarm' triggers, set the display off.

Displaying weather could be done by altering an existing weather plugin to make
use of the screensaver feature.

Oh my, sounds interesting ;)

Maybe i'll try to look at it, except one of you is also interested in
this functionality (and has at least a little bit experience in
programming...)

Thanks anyway!
