Hey Dean, thanks for responding..

I can browse the music library folder and find the tracks, I also can browse
by artist, or album and find the tracks as well. Only seems to be a problem
when searching by track name. I can search by artist and album, and that
also works.

Do you think it's a tag issue. Here's how I manage my library in case it
will help.

I use iTunes on a mac to manage library on an external firewire drive (ufs).
I then put that drive in a hot swap bay, put it in my slim server and rysnc
it over. Basically maintaining 2 copies of the data, production and working
set. I use a utility called playlist to dump my playlists out of itunes then
do some script foo to make the playlists "linux" friendly. I try to tag as
much info into the file as possible, but at a minimum it will have track,
disc, title, year, genre, artist and coverart.

Here's my "slimserver" info:

Mini-itx running fedora core 1/2.4 kernel, it's a pretty minimal install as
all it does is serve up tunes for my slimp3 and squeezebox.

Hi Peter,

Is the file name the same as the song title in the tags? When you
search by title, it's using the metainformation in the ID3 tags or
iTunes Library, not necessarily the file name.
