I'm going to hit the road for the next couple days and the wife banned the laptop. Is there mobile formatted version of this forum? I tried accessing it using Skyfire for Smarphone, but it's a bit too painful.

Subscribe to it as an email list and get it in your inbox. You can
read and reply, and your replies end up in the Web forum for the web
people to see. That's the only way I use it, I abhor web-based
forums.

This approach only lets me follow the threads that I subcribed to. How do you follow new topics or interesting threads to which you don't subscribe? I get too many emails as it is.

Have a look at the "Subscribe to this forum as a Mailing List!" sticky post in each forum. Every post will be delivered as mail and you could define filters to sort them into folders...and yes, you can reply, too :)

kind regards,

I spend most of my *cough* working day browsing this and other forums with my nokia 6220c (doing so right now) using opera mini, its free and i highly recommend it - even over slow gprs.

vBulletin has capability for a Mobile view of the forum, but apparently it has not been activated. Treocentral.com has implemented it. I used to scan the older version of this forum at work, but the latest version (with the Logitech branding) makes it way too cumbersome. Definitely something the webmaster here should address!

I have tried browsing this forum from a PDA and it's not mobile-friendly at all. I just put in a request for it.

And I've just CC'ed myself on it.

With the database lookup for read threads I would definitely be inclined to check the forums from my Kaiser while on the move, then properly catch up when I got home.

This approach works fine when you have a full-feature email client on a desktop. I use push email to the Mobile Outlook client that came with my Smartphone. There are no filters. I'd like to browse the forums at my leisure. Also receiving email notifications for topics that do not interest me does not appeal to me.

I just added my name to the feature request mentioned above.
