My "Application used to perform action:" in the File Types association edit
for the Open action is:

"C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "%1" %*

quotes and all. This was done automatically for me when I installed that
particular java release.

Matt,

I had this same problem initially and I now have .jar files
associated with C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\javaw.exe
(assuming same Java release and default installation directory).

I've got no idea if this is theoretically right or not, I just
played around until I got it to work. It seems to work reliably
for me.

Cheers,
Mark.

I believe there is a bug with the firmware selection in softsqueeze now.
You used to be able to select the firmware version to report. AFAIK
'0' is always the correct one that is a reserved value in Slimserver
that never requires an update. This always worked great in 0.3. Now
it seems it has be chosen to have the user select the version of
slimserver and guess at the correct version of firmware to report.
This caused be grief since I have chosen in squeezebox.version to
upgrade to 20 and therefore slimserver wants to upgrade softsqueeze.
Now the quick fix is to comment out 20 and things are fine since I
have no further real squeezeboxes to upgrade; however I believe to
correct thing to do is to report version '0' and be done with it.
