Hi..
I have downloaded some 24bit 48k files from http://www.2l.no/hires/index.html. When I play these, I sometime gets sound, but most of the time, the SC rebufferes on and on again, hick'ing all up.
If I look at my WLAN throughput playing these files, I only get 2Mbps spikes, no settling data stream. Under normal conditions (16bit, 44.1k), I get a spike upon buffering, and the throughput settles nicely around 1Mbps for the rest of the song.
I re-flac'ed these files with Flac ver. 1.2.1 - that changed the files in a way so that they can be played now. The datastream looks more correct, settling around 1.5Mbps.
But once in a while my SB3 reboots. It only happens playing these hires files.
It has been tested with 7.2, 7.2.1, 7.3 nightly build - all the same.
So, is it only these files, or is there a general problem playing higher resolution than 44.1k 16bit?
Setup: SC on Freenas, 2GHz, 512M RAM. Wireless to SB3, WLAN rock solid. Playing 44.1k, 16bit Flac, NO problems, ever.
Help very much appreciated.
