Hey All,

Been using SlimServer 6.5.4 on my Mac running 10.5.5 without problems. Decided to try and upgrade to 7.2.1, but I am having no luck. I install the 7.2.1 prefpane, but when I click the start server button, the button name briefly says click to stop, but then immediately goes back to click to start. It's like the app tries to launch, but then fails. I've tried 7.2.1, as well as 7.1, both with no luck.

I deleted the prefpane, and reinstalled 6.5.4, which starts with no problems.

Any help is appreciated.

I noticed a status message "loading http://localhost:9000/", completed 48 out of 49 items at the bottom left hand corner of my safari window. Have you noticed something similar? SqueezeCentre then tells me "player not found."

Previously SlimServer and SqueezeNetwork use to prevent each other from connecting. i.e. you had to disconnect from SlimServer to use SqueezeNetwork and vice versa. I am wondering it that has something to do with it. Of course I've never been able to make sense of it all from the beginning and now they've gone and changed the names. It certainly keeps things interesting.

I'm going to deinstall the update and go to the previous version see if that helps things.

Uninstall SS6.5. Make sure any trace of slimserver.* has been wiped (or
moved to a save place). Install SC 7.2.1. If it doesn't work, give is some
insight into Library/Logs/SqueezeCenter/server.log (or similar).
