Sometimes when I reload my server the SC service is stuck in "starting mode" but it doesn't actually start. The tray icon keeps blinking. I erased the cache and it keeps doing it...How I can troubleshoot this even further?

What SC version? What Windows? What antivirus? What does server.log say
(see Settings/Status once SC is running)? Anything in Windows event log?

SC 7.2.1 Windows XP SP2. No antivirus. Will check the server log next time it happens and report back.
