Anyone know where I can buy a replacement Squeezebox power supply in the UK?

One I have seems to have died.

Funny - I just came to the forum to ask the exact same question.

Mike - did you purchase from ripcaster? Is it indeed an original unit?

My Squeezebox 3 power supply appears to have caused quite an incident overnight - seemingly it died and killed my surge suppressor and a few other fuses at the same time. I say appears, since all other devices plugged into the surge suppressor survived...

Ripcaster don't actually seem to have any in stock - they 'order from their supplier' when you place an order.

After some weeks i gave up. Logitech don't supply spares so it's a case of finding something else to do the job.

My SB3 came with a power supply labelled PSC11R-050. The text on that page says that the PSM11R-050 can replace the PSC11R-050 so it may be a slightly newer / updated model. It's made by the same manufacturer as my current SB3 model - Phihong - and it has the right spec. 5V 2A.

I can heartily recommend the above, I just received one in the post. Exactly the same power supply as the original one.

Get one even if you don't need one yet!

I ordered one of those from watt-power.co.uk and it didn't fit - the barrel was too large. I sent it back and although they refunded the item they wouldn't refund the postage. My argument was that it said that it could replace the SB one (UK trade description law). They claimed that manufacturers have several PSUs with the same model number but different barrels. Anyway, just watch out...

In the end, Patrick Dixon sort me out in record time and in friendly-fashion (I missed his post first time round). Thanks Patrick.

Now that I have the PSU, I've just found the original one again, so if anyone wants one in the next week (before I eBay it), just PM me. £5 inc. P&P (to UK only) with the Euro and UK adapter part.
