Hi all,

I've just upgraded my SqueezeCenter to 7.2 because of the (presumed?) Last.FM play support. Now I googled around, searched the forum, searched the wiki, etc, but untill now, all I got is a menu item in my Squeezebox, which, when selected, says:

Your Last.fm accout is not yet

That's it. My last.fm account isn't..... validated, registered, enabled, something else?

Does anyone have any idea on how to get Last.FM playback support working on the Squeezebox?

Thanks, Erik

Are you in the UK, US or Germany? If not, you cannot yet use the built in Last.fm Audioscrobber plugin (it is only licenced for those countries) but you can use the third party Squeezescrobbler plugin which is not country restricted.

If you are in UK/US/DE you need to open up a webpage and log into your Last.fm account. Then go to the Squeezenetwork web page and enter your account details there to authorise it for use via Squeezecenter (you also need to enter your account details in Squeezecenter webUI for scrobbling).

Hi Siduhe,

Ah, thanks. I couldn't find that information anywhere in the documentation on Slimdevices.com. Now I took the pain of upgrading without any benefit. Argh!

Well, thanks for the reply, I'll check out the Squeezescrobbler plugin (I thought the *Scrobblers were only for reporting played songs to Last.fm, and not the other way around...), and use that on instead!

Try scrolling down, this is a multiline message.
I think the scrobbling component works, it's listening to last.fm that doesn't work outside the UK, US, and DE.
