Dean,
Other than Rob's suggestions (which are great and I'm implementing),
since I haven't seen a SlimServer style guide, could you explain the
changes that you think should be made to fit the UI model?

Also, since the archive doesn't yet have a soap or standard interface,
I'm a bit hesitent to add this as part of the release yet. I'm working
with them to see if we can get this to happen.

Mostly what Rob was mentioning. I'll have more feedback once I get it
working here... I'm stuck on the Fetchin Archive Band List screen and
seeing lots of these:

Error when calling get: Cannot connect to
'http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?mode=mp3', Socket
is already connected

And, yes, a SlimServer UI style guide is a really good idea. I'll see
about putting something together.

Ok, great. Let me know when you want to move forward or if you need
any help.

Sounds like a great plugin. On my system (Linux Mandrake 9.2, Slimserver 5.1.1,
and updated cvs) I can't use it. If the plugin is installed the whole system is
non-reponsive. Running with --d_timer shows all timers triggering 1.3 - 3.5
seconds late. Removing the Archive.pm file and rerunning the server, all timers
trigger less than 0.03 seconds late. Even if I remove all clients, the symptoms
are the same.

Are you saying if the plugin is installed and not activated?

Yup. If its in the Plugins directory, I'm locked out. I can't even see if its
enabled or disabled because I give up before I can get anything from the web
interface. The player UI almost never moves. When it does, its never the move
I want, so I can't get to any plugin, let alone the Archive.
