Where have you been getting your zip files? Zips with paths are bog
standard in my experience. Just leave the 'use paths' option checked and
you'll be fine.

The reason I don't leave the "use paths" option checked is because Winzip
creates unwanted paths beneath the extract folder from zips that were
created with "Save full path info" checked, which may not be relevant
(i.e. it was checked only because that was how it was left the last time
Winzip was used).

Perhaps Winzip should have a "Read my mind" checkbox, or better, zip
files should contain a flag that is the default setting for the "use
paths" check box during extraction.
