Yet another CUE sheet question...
I prefer to rip my CDs to images, then mp3 them, primarily because I have a
large Zappa fetish and most of his music segues. By using MP3 and a CUE
sheet I get gapless playback. SFSG, here's the issue: I have several CDs
(some from box sets as well) that contain more than one Album. By creative
CUE sheet copying and editing, I can create a sheet that plays the "second"
album w/ no problem by starting track one way into the MP3. The problem is
that I can't get the first album to stop at the end of the last song. It'll
just keep cruising through the whole next album as the last tune. I've tried
adding a bogus last track, both DATA one and a AUDIO w/ a HUGE gap (the end
of the file). Neither works.
Anyone got a way to trick the server into skipping that last big chunk?
The progress bar also seems pretty confused when playing either album, is
this calculated from the cue sheet points or from the actual .mp3?
BUG: x2, x4 etc. doesn't work correctly for single mp3 Cue files. The
playback will in xN jumps between the current song and bits of the 1st song.
When you hit play, you're back where you started. My guess is that the time
in the song is relative to the song cue, but in xN mode, it's absolute from
the front of the file. In multi file CUE sheets, this is the same spot, in a
single file, it's not....
TIA,
