Does anyone have any experience of this software for Mac OS X? I found it when googling for apps to help me retrieve cover art for my music library.

Here's a link: GimmeSomeTune (http://www.eternalstorms.at/gimmesometune/)

It looks like a good bit of software. I wonder how it compares to the alternatives - CoverScout (http://www.equinux.com/us/products/coverscout/index.html) and Fetch Art (http://fetch-art.en.softonic.com/mac)

Anyone?

I've been using Fetch Art which is free but unfortunately not very accurate in some cases...

I have been using GiimeSomeTune recently as I can no longer get PearLyrics or Clutter to work properly with new versions of iTunes.

It's pretty good but there are some minor irritations; for example, PearLyrics could be pointed at a Playlist and just left to populate all tracks. GimmeSomeTune, by contrast, seems to want to have each track played which can be tiresome.

That said, it's pretty cheap, pretty reliable and does the core job pretty well. 'Nuff said!

I'm running Leopard on a Mac Mini (PPC) which also houses iTunes and Squeezecenter.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the that Jungle. Definitely useful feedback. My thoughts are that GimmeSomeTune is probably a bit too complex for my needs. (I am only really after cover art).

I'll try the demo of CoverScout to see if it's more accurate than Fetch Art.
