Is it possible to start the squeezebox center automatically without logging in to the server?
i.e. turn on server and have it working

I have Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and do not want to use the auto logon feature through the registry as it is a huge hole to security issues etc.

Any help much appreciated. (sorry if this has been raised before but I cannot find anything on it)

If you click on the "SqueezeCenter Startup options" item on the start
menu you can set SqueezeCenter to run as a service. It will then run
without anyone having to log in.

Beware that if your music isn't all local to that machine and you use
network shares, this can cause issues if the user details you use
don't give you access to these drives.

You can run SC as a service. Click START -> ALL PROGRAMS -> SQEEZECENTER -> SQUEEZECENTER STARTUP OPTIONS.

There you can set it up to run as a service.
