I installed SqueezeCenter 7.2 yesterday (on Ubuntu using the Debian package from the SlimDevices repository).
I added a new album to my music folder (in Ogg Vorbis format) did a scan for new music and it wasn't picked up.
Did a clear and rescan and it still wasn't picked up.
I can't get SqueezeCenter to add it to my library.
I've checked the permissions on the files and these are fine.

Anyone else had this issue?

Does your logs say something useful?

The scanner.log has lots of errors related to MP3.pm (uninitialized something).

I'll check tonight when I get home and post the exact error.

All other music is picked up just not the new album.

Ok. Here is the error I am getting when I do a full rescan. I get thousands of these error (presumably one for each MP3 file):

[08-08-29 18:21:55.7240] MP3::Info::_grab_int_16 (2140) Warning: substr outside of string at /usr/share/squeezecenter/lib/MP3/Info.pm line 2140, <$fh> line 1.

etc...

I also get lots of these errors:
[08-08-29 18:25:51.5808] MP3::Info::_parse_v2tag (721) Warning: Use of uninitialized value in substr at /usr/share/squeezecenter/lib/MP3/Info.pm line 721, <$fh> line 1.
[08-08-29 18:25:51.7380] Carp::carp (104) Warning: Size mismatch on APIC
at /usr/share/perl5/Slim/Formats/MP3.pm line 163

Any ideas if these are causing my problem?

Ooops. File permissions again.

I didn't have execute permissions on the new albums folder.

Nothing to do with SqueezeCenter 7.2, just user error.
