Wow, what the heck is this thing??? 30 inch woofers and it runs on juice :-)

"Like a regular Squeezebox, the Squeezebox Boom streams music from a PC or internet radio station over 802.11g. Unlike the classic, it has a pair of 3/4-inch soft dome tweeters and 30inch woofers biamped with 30 watts of juice."

I'm positive that's a typo. They might to say 3 inch woofers (according to every other peak we have seen recently).

Keep on squeezing!

Part of that typo has been corrected in the text of the article. "3 inch"
woofers ...

Oh! Sorry I missed the tongue in cheek. I would be interesting to see the hip-hop crowd with a boombox with 30 inch speakers struggling under the weight. Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

But, again sorry! I should have known you were more informed than that.

AFAICT it's a standard global/universal switching wart, with slide-in regional adaptors. Works fine in the UK.

It's might not be a 30" woofer, but for a small package it actually produces some pretty good bass.
