Are they able to control sb3 or they are only allowed to control sb2?

What "new" controller? Do you mean the Controller that was announced as
part of the Duet? It controls any SD device, SB1 and Transporter too.

yes that controller as part of the duet. It says it only control sb2 on the logitech site so i was a little confused. Thanks

Does it say that on the SlimDevices site? Most strange, mine controls
everything that I have from SD that plays music.

Same here. My Controller works with my SqueezeBox Classic and my Transporter.

mine controls everything that I have from SD that plays music.

And now that its annouced, I can say my Controller controls my Boom very nicely.
