Not sure if that is spelled right but what do you think of the Jamacan that won the 100M and the 200? In the 100 he looked around 2/3's of the way and looked liked a stroll in the park. I've never seen anything like it. Every race he looked like he was just jogging at the end. When he won the 100m he also had a shoe untied. Incredible.

Jamaican. He was awesome - don't like that word but I think that this time it's justified :)

I wonder what his world record 100m time could have been if he hadn't been looking around during the last 30m?

It was a bit strange to have one shoe untied. I suppose he could be in danger of clipping at higher power. Do you think he'd get better performance with balanced output? Maybe he needs a shorter run as well? It could depend on the track. Would he get a better time during a replay if he applied Smart Gain?

/OK, that's enough of that rubbish/

Audiophiles please chip in...

I think he purposely slowed down so that he would get more money by setting better world records in the future.

No, lol. He's good, but not that good.

100m was not his event, i dont think he was thinking of the WR, just that he had won when 200M is his speciality.

Am I the only one to think this is way off topic? What shall we discuss
next? The war in Iraq?

Or why the US news seem to list the medal table in order of medals, when the IoC list it in order of gold-silver-bronze?... ;)

At first I thought the thread was about "My Jamaican Guy" by Grace Jones!

We're in to unilateral action these days. Who cares what the IOC does, we do things our way.

It's sad, isn't it.

Why not an "Off topic" forum for this kind of post's many of you "seniors" seems to know each other rather well and could use that for socializing.

But of course this will be even more work the poor moderator(s) and it's not obviously useful for logitech.

On Off topic :-)
I miss most of the Olympics I picked the wrong time to get rid of my TV box with no immediate replacement, drat.

Socializing? Geeks? What a suggestion! ;)

Not sure if I'm more offended by being described as Senior or as a Geek.

Although come to think of it, I probably can't defend myself against either of those accusations.

At least I don't look older than Phil Meyer does. Just look at our avatar pictures :)

Seems there are already too many flame wars revolving around audio and squeezecenter, let alone sports and politics!

By senior I meant senior members on this forum, I have by mysterious workings reached some kind of senior status but i'm 6 years and 10k post behind most people here, and don't contribute to the product.

Otherwise I'm probably just as "senior" as many here I remember life without cellphones and internet, I remember video stores with both beta and vhs tapes :-)
