Just caught this post on how VLC has been hacked to support MP4 formats
on a machine that has been authorized to play the tracks from the Apple
iTunes Music Store. Of course it got me thinking about wanting this in
Slim...

As far as I know playing authorized tracks from iTMS will be possible
on the next release. I think for Mac OS X only, though.
