View Full Version : Left & Right Channels Reversed On Digital Output ...?!

Sean et al.

I just reset my Squeezebox by powering it off & on
- now left is left and right is right.

BUT, believe me, the channels were reversed!

[I didnšt imagine it!]

I played the test disc that I mentioned in my original post because
something didnšt sound right in a very, very familiar song,
and at that point the left was right and right was left.

Išll keep monitoring it to see if/when it flips again ... :-O

Is there some hardware bit or software flag that could end up toggled
wrongly
under some weird condition(s) ...?

[Like during the elusive dropouts ...?]

FYI my Squeezebox is always on ...

It is conceivable that a software glitch is causing the PCM stream to
lose sync with the left/right clock. I'll do some more testing this
weekend - I know it was definitely wrong at one point and then I fixed
it but there may be something else going on.

Next time it happens, try just restarting the song a couple times and
see if it clears up.
