For those of you who use Windows Home Server to host SqueezeCenter and MusicIP, note that there seems to be some sort of conflict caused by the McAfee Total Protection service that HP included with a recent WHS update.

The music scan kept stopping with an error logged as it tried to write a file in the temp directory. When I removed McAfee, all was fine again.

I've also applied Power Pack 1. It has no issues in running Squeezecenter 7.0.1

Anti virus getting in the way of scanning isn't limited to WHS.

There has been numerous threads about the scanning process failing, turns out it is an AV app limiting access to the MySQL data files.

I was having the same problem. I have excluded C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter from being checked by McAfee. This seems to have fixed the problem. The performance is now back to what it was prior to the upgrade.
