Hi -

I have a original SlimP3 (Ethernet) and a squeezebox (wireless), and
have setup the synch feature to play the same audio. The Slimp3 is
connected to the audio system. The squuezbox I use to control the music
in other rooms (multi-zone system). Generally works great, but did
notice a couple of issues (using 5.1.1. and firm 2.3 on SlimP3):

- Sometimes they loose synch and in the server setup they are
no longer shown as synched. Is this a bug or is there something I can
do to address this?

- Volume control on the remote (wireless) does not change
volume, even though the control indicates it is changing the volume.
Other controls work fine (mute, skip song, etc). Is this a limitation
of this setup?

General compatibility issue: Are there advantages to using all
squeezeboxes for this setup? In other words, will it work better
(volume control, fewer synch issues) and less buggy if the slimP3
(ehternet) is changed out to a Squeezebox (Ethernet)?

Thanks!

Generally speaking the advantage to having all-squeezebox for this
setup will be that non-mp3 file formats are supported in the same way
on both clients. Sync is a bit tricky when the audio is taking
different paths through the server but it's supposed to work.

I'm not sure about the two bugs you're seeing though...
