The firmware version on my SBC remains at 7.0.1-r2448 regardless of what version of squeezecenter I try. I've run 7.01, 7.1 and 7.2 and the f/w on my receiver changed from 24 to 36 to 42, but the controller remains the same - is that correct?

I have tried the SBC software update menu item and it always says that "updated software is available for this remote" , but it fails every time. What can I do?

Thanks,
Mark

The SBC won't update from my whs, but when pointing to my laptop with the same build it works, so at least I'm getting the sbc to update now :)

2448 is also what SN tries to put on.

Have you tried a manual update via SD card?

i had to use the SD method once, which was really rather annoying.

u could also try a factory reset, and switching between SN and SC, which sometimes gets it to update for me when it seems otherwise stuck.

i'm on 7.1 with 2722fw i think.

No, don't know how, I'll look around. I can work around it by pointing to another copy of SC on my laptop, just doesn't take update from server.

Is there a how-to link for performing a manual update via SB card?

I'm running 7.2-22103 with fw 42 on the rcvr and 7.1 r2722 build #110 which seems a lttle odd, but everything is working.
